Salim Stoudamire is much like Damon Stoudamire, in that they're both short by basketball standards, are small scoring guards, and tend to have a shoot-first-do-nothing-much-else-later approach.
This might just be chance, or it might be because they are cousins. It might also be genetic. Who knows? Maybe there's a gene that determines your shot selection. A bit like the gene that determines your opinion on Brussel Sprouts.
(I'm not making that up, by the way - all humans detest Brussel Sprouts. It's in our make up. It's just that some people lack a certain gene that allows them to recognise this, and so it's those people who can eat them without hatred. If that's not true, sue the BBC, because that's where I got it from. Anyway, let's move on.)
Salim's point guard skills are lacking - very lacking - but as an off the bench scorer he can be extremely valuable. He also has no qualms when it comes to the big shots. And, unlike Damon, he hasn't got any marijuana related suspensions. Although the night is yet young.

Anagram: "Solid amateurism," which apparently describes both this website and Salim Stoudamire.
Agent: Jason Levien (Levien Sports Representation)/Arik Krayn
Note: As you can probably tell,
some of the nicknames were made up. Many are genuine, though, and they
are only made up in the instances where a real one couldn't be traced.
Many given nicknames are of common usage, but some are also sourced
from lesser known sources - these sources are not often cited, not because
I hate the people involved, but because there's too many to do so. For
argument's sake, just assume that the unfunny ones are mine.
In the event where more than one agent is listed, this is because the
player has more than one agent. Simple, really. This is rather commonplace
- a lot of times, a player will sign with a big agency, and they will
have both primary and secondary agents from within that agency to handle
their affairs. (Where that happens, the primary agent is listed first.)
Also, foreign players tend to have both American and domestic agents.
Where the details of such are known, they are listed. It's essentially
like a fun multiple choice game, except without the "fun", "multiple
choice" and "game" elements.
Additionally - don't sue. We're only having a laugh. There's no slander
here. Just very bad jokes.
