Utah - Ian Clark, Diante Garrett and Mike Harris: Making the team lout of training camp in the unlikely role of seasoned veteran despite his relative lack of NBA experience, Harris, has appeared regularly in the rotation, and played fairly well on his way to 4.2 ppg and 48% shooting. Garrett has also had moments of stable play in a lengthy audition, and while Clark has barely played (spending more time on the court on assignment to the D-League), there seems no obvious reason for the Jazz to waive their de facto second round pick, or indeed any of the three.

The team owned by Yao Ming has been employing two of his former Rockets team mates for much of the season. The Sharks started with Harris and Green, but replaced Green once Lucas became available after his release from the Chicago Bulls. Lucas has done this before; he had joined the Bulls after averaging 28/5/5 with Shanghai last year, but he didn't shoot the jumper well this season and his numbers took a hit. Harris has also done this for a while, playing a couple of years for DongGuan between 2007 and 2009 whilst waiting for an NBA comeback (which he eventually got). His rebounding average ranked second in the league, and he has already signed in Puerto Rico for some summer money.

Harris has had three stints in the NBA this year. He started with the Thunder, with whom he signed for training camp before being waived in favour of Ryan Bowen, and later returned to the Rockets for a couple of weeks, for whom he appeared in 2 games. Later on came a ten day contract with the Wizards, for whom he played 13 minutes and scored 4 points. And in between those gigs has been the D-League, where Harris once again finds himself. For the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Harris is averaging 27.0 points and 10.3 rebounds, leading the league in scoring and ranking third in rebounds per game.
