Tyshawn Bell

Bell is a good sized wing who, at the right level, could be a stretch four. This level would have to be quite low, as Bell measures only about 6'7 without much athleticism to go with it, but he certainly has the jump shot part down.

The three point shot is the defining feature of Bell's game and the bulk of his output; without much speed or handle, Bell has never developed much in the way of an off-the-dribble game, and nor does he even try much. He cuts off the ball and floats to spots, and spends a lot of time swinging the ball around the perimeter, but he does not create, get separation, isolate, shoot off of screens, or even shoot off the dribble much. On the plus side, this means he also pretty much never turns it over - that plus a reliable catch-and-shoot jump shot (be in the half court, as a pick-and-pop option or as a trailer) makes for a useful offensive player.

Defensively, Bell has had a good amount of experience with defending the post at Delaware State, his decent core strength giving him a chance even when overmatched, and he tries his best to box out and crash the glass. It should also however be noted that Bell's lack of athleticism and lateral foot speed is also partly why he defends the post, for he is simply a bit slow on the perimeter.

As a player, Bell's future is as a shooter. And as a shooter, Bell's upside is limited due to his inability to create looks and his general lack of speed. He is however a reliable and heady presence, who at the right level could cover time at both forward spots.
