After being waived six weeks into the season, Brussino went to Spain and recorded 6.1 points and 2.2 assists in 13 minutes per game of ACB play for Gran Canaria. While he looked like a project worth looking at as a shooting and pick-and-roll playmaker, he did not seem to make much progress in neither his skills nor his confidence, and his age also counted against him. There are younger prospects at the same sort of stage of their development.

The NBA looked a bit too quick for him at times, which was to be expected. Brussino was brought in to be a projectable shooter and potential secondary ball handler, yet it was done knowing there would be an ad-justment period, so he needs to be kept to honour that. There were a few signs in his rookie season worth sticking with, especially on assignment to the Legends, where he showed his ability to make plays out of the pick-and-roll. Could be a versatile offensive player down the road.
