- Doug ThomasIowa graduate Thomas was also in the D-League this year after spending last season in Sweden of all places, where he led Sundsvall to the title and was named to the All-Defensive team. He was drafted by the Dakota Wizards, but was released before playing a game, and returned in December to play for the Iowa Energy. Thomas averaged 9.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in 48 games for the Energy, numbers pretty much identical to his Swedish league ones. We don't get to talk about Sweden a lot here. And that's a shame, because with Jonas Jerebko and Vanderbilt's Jeff Taylor, it's a good time for Swedish basketball right now.
