Andre Emmett - 24 games, 35.4 mpg, 28.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.9 apg, 2.3 spg, 0.2 bpg, 2.8 TOpg, 52% FG, 26% 3PT, 76% FT

They had less luck with their second import, Chris Porter, who had played with the team since 2005, but who managed only two games before being released due to injury. He in turn was replaced by Emmett, the former Big 12 all-time points scorer (until he was overtaken this month by LaceDarius Dunn), as well as last season's CBA scoring leader (32.0ppg for Shandong). As is always the case, Emmett piled in the points, giving Fujian the league's most dominant rebounder and arguably it's most dominant perimeter scorer. But with absolutely nothing else, it didn't help them.

Andre Emmett - In the last two years, Emmett has averaged 33ppg in China, 24ppg in France, 26ppg in Venezuela and 24ppg in Belgium. He's carefully avoided Italy and Spain, and didn't work out in his couple of NBA seasons, but he's putting up the numbers. And presumably, he's stacking paper.

Andre Emmett - 7 games, 33.9 mpg, 20.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.9 fpg, 1.6 spg, 1.1 bpg, 51% FG, 32% 3PT, 72% FT

Emmett isn't a big man, but he too has done the China/Puerto Rico combo, and has done it to great effect. He led the notoriously high scoring league with a 32.0 points per game average, and set a new CBA single game scoring record with a 71 point effort on March 7th that included 28-34 shooting from two point range. Emmett also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game; if there's a stat that can be put up, he'll explore it. He did much the same in Puerto Rico with his 20/8; however, Emmett played only 7 games before being changed for Kurt Looby.

- Andre Emmett: 33.4mpg, 31.0ppg, 7.6rpg, 3.5apg, 1.3fpg, 2.5spg, 0.3bpg, 53% FG, 39% 3PT, 78% FT

Emmett was covered earlier this year, his numbers dropping only slightly since his gaudy start. His 31ppg average is tops in the whole CBA, and would be better still if it weren't for an anomalous 4 point 2 rebound outing on 13th February; in more urgent news, however, a Google image search for his name reveals the fifth most popular result to be a picture of Shania Twain in a Lakers' jersey. That needs work.

Emmett is also in China, but there's no ambivalence in his season so far. Playing for Shandong, he is leading the league with a 32.6 points per game average, alongside 8.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.7 steals. Emmett scored 151 points in his first three games, and never looked back, not even after a new year slump that saw him average a terrible 23ppg in five early January games.

In the last two years, Emmett has averaged 33ppg in China, 24ppg in France, 26ppg in Venezuela and 24ppg in Belgium. He's carefully avoided Italy and Spain, and didn't work out in his couple of NBA seasons, but he's putting up the numbers. And presumably, he's stacking paper.
