Keith Rendleman

Rendleman is a 6'8 forward born about 18 miles from where I currently sit, who graduated UNC Wilmington in 2013 and spent the subsequent two seasons in Korea and Switzerland respectively. Last year for the Lugano Tigers, he averaged 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, shooting 54.5% from the floor and 9.1% from three. Rendleman is an athlete who loves to run and dunk, crash the glass, float open, and lunge wildly at both the ball and the rim, to pretty good effect. His skills still have not caught up to his tools - outside of the dunk, any offensive move is a bit unpredictable, and if asked to create, he struggles. He free roams essentially on both ends, moving without the ball in the half court, running at every opportunity in the full court, roaming around the paint and basket on defense whether he is supposed to or not, trying to block and dunk everything. He is plenty good for a highlight and can never be accused to timidity. More of a post than a perimeter player, Rendleman's long arms and tenaciousness make him a threat on the glass and in transition, the areas he would most rather be in anyway. There is not much in the way of ball skills there, but let it never be said that he doesn't play to his strengths.
