Jacob Wiley
PF - 6’8, 213lbs - 23 years old - 1 year of experience
Plucked from relative obscurity, Wiley found himself back there. G-League season averages of only 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds alluded to no great NBA future, and after leaving Long Island to go to Germany and play for Ludwigsburg, he managed only 58 minutes over seven games. The NBA seems unlikely - he is a power forward in a small forward’s body, and small ball evolution notwithstanding, there is still a difference between small forward and face-up power forward. Wiley lacks for the ball skills of an NBA wing, and the size of an NBA four man. It would take a lot of development work for here. Still, as a good athlete with a decent set shot, who is always energetic if not always effective, Wiley should play some good professional seasons at good levels.
