Back in the NBA six years after his first visit, Silas earned an extremely brief call-up late in the season when the Celtics ran out of ball handlers, largely on account of being available as a G-League player. Silas has been back in that league for the last couple of years with the Northern Arizona Suns, and where once he was a mediocre outside shooter, it is now the bulk of his offensive game. Scoring 18.4 points on more than nine three-pointers per game, which he hit at 38.0%, Silas’s threes are mostly of the just-raise-up variety than they are off of any off-ball movement, but between that and the pull-up, it is certainly something. Historically a decent guard defender, too, Silas is deservedly on the fringes as a three-and-D option. It’s just not necessarily what the Celtics were after at that time.
