The 2018 NBA Manifesto

Steohen Curry
PG - 6’3, 190lbs - 30 years old - 9 years of experience

This was Curry’s best ever season in terms of offensive rating, second best season ever in terms of PER, his second best ever in terms of OBPM, and his third best ever in terms of win shares per 48 minutes (used here as a better measure than win shares given that he missed 31 regular season games). All of those numbers made for significant improvements over last season. It seems as though he and Kevin Durant have found more of that offensive middle ground they were after.

This was also by far Steph’s best ever season for getting to the foul line. His 2017/18 free throw rate of .350 vastly outstrips his career mark of .239, and is also far ahead of the past four years (which all neatly fitted into the very small window of being between .250 and .252). He backed this up by also shooting a career-best mark from the foul line once there, hitting a league-leading 92.1%. Slightly stronger, slightly quicker and certainly wiser than his early days, Curry knows how to sell these plays better now, and seek them out accordingly.

2017 NBA Manifesto

Stephen Curry
PG, 6’3, 190lbs, 29 years old, 8 years of experience

In lieu of a thought, here’s a fun fact; Curry has made the exact same number of three-pointers in the last two regular seasons alone (726) than Steve Kerr did in his entire 15 year career. Kerr did it more efficiently, however (726-1599 compared to 726-1675), so maybe he’s the better shooter after all.

Player Plan: Expiring $12,112,359 contract who definitely requires the full beans in light of the bargain he has been for the last few years.
