The Kings’ muddied rotation is particularly muddied on the wing spots, where Bogdanovic, while starting, often loses minutes to Buddy Hield (himself a good pick at $10.0 million). Nevertheless, Bogdanovic is a double-digit scorer, averaging 10.1 points per game along with some high value defensive stats (1.0 steals per game, 0.6 blocks). Like Hill above, Bogdanovic would be a significant beneficiary of a more controlled rotation and stable offensive unit that understands where everyone is on the court; unlike Hill, however, Bogdanovic is shooting anyway.

The Kings have been blown out three times in a row, which means the starters have not played starters minutes. As one of the starters, then, Bogdanovic has not put up the numbers he could. Nevertheless, the problems of this team and not really his fault, and he should hold on to the starting spot, continuing to yield double-digit points for a small cost.

Bogdanovic’s first three NBA games have all yielded double digit scoring outings, and he has already won a starting spot from fellow rookie Justin Jackson.

He is an accomplished scorer at every level other than this one, and he is establishing himself as such very quickly. There might not be much other than points forthcoming from Bogdanovic ever, but a 12.3 points per game scoring average for only $10 million is valuable, and there are some big scoring nights to come.
