Leon Powe's name is pronounced to rhyme with "Show", or Po the Tellytubby, This is disappointing. It should be pronouced "POW!", as in Gasol, or a very lame 60's Batman caption. It carries more authority that way. But it's not. And I'm not quite over it yet.
Pow (which is what I'm calling him from now on) is undersized for the NBA game, and has a troubling history of troublesome knee trouble despite his young age. He takes charges, fights hard and rebounds a bit, but offensively has to somehow overcome the fact that he's just too bloody short for most people's tastes. He's quite good at that, though, and uses his physical nature to fight up a number of shots from the post, specifically favouring a right handed hook.
Pow can post up, go right, be the roll part of the pick and roll, and catch almost any pass thrown at him. He also has a good wingspan, that helps mask his undersized stature. Pow is a good finisher and a prolific drawer of fouls (if that makes sense), and because of all this he does well to overcome his size deficiency; however, that disadvantage exists on defense, too. Wingspan and all, Pow can still be scored over, and he's not much of a shotblocking presence. He rotates well, fights hard, and uses the same physicality that he brings to the offensive end, but a direct by-product of all that is his foul rate, which has always been pretty hefty.
Fun Leon POW! fact: He's so anti-passing, that he won't even do a shit on game days.

Anagram: "Elope. Now." I wish somebody would demand this of me.
Note: As you can probably tell,
some of the nicknames were made up. Many are genuine, though, and they
are only made up in the instances where a real one couldn't be traced.
Many given nicknames are of common usage, but some are also sourced
from lesser known sources - these sources are not often cited, not because
I hate the people involved, but because there's too many to do so. For
argument's sake, just assume that the unfunny ones are mine.
In the event where more than one agent is listed, this is because the
player has more than one agent. Simple, really. This is rather commonplace
- a lot of times, a player will sign with a big agency, and they will
have both primary and secondary agents from within that agency to handle
their affairs. (Where that happens, the primary agent is listed first.)
Also, foreign players tend to have both American and domestic agents.
Where the details of such are known, they are listed. It's essentially
like a fun multiple choice game, except without the "fun", "multiple
choice" and "game" elements.
Additionally - don't sue. We're only having a laugh. There's no slander
here. Just very bad jokes.
