Glen Davis brought to tears by seminal Phil Collins smash

There's being intense, and then there's being an idiot. We can only speculate as to which Kevin Garnett was being here. He's always been extremely intense - perhaps too intense - but lately, he's overdone it more and more and started being an idiot. Recently, Garnett has taunting people for no obvious reason, such as here with Raptors guard Jose Calderon:

And here, with Portland guard Jerry D. Bayless:

I saw him do that stupid crawling shit at some other point this year, although I've forgotten when. I seem to remember it was against the Cavaliers. In that instance, too, he taunted someone about a foot shorter than him after nothing significant had happened in the run-up to it. That's not intensity. That's being an idiot.

Still, at least he's now learned to pick on the bigger guys instead. Just a shame that they're his own big guys. And well done to you, Jerryd Bayless and Jose Calderon, for executing on the following play and making Garnett look a big goateed boob, and for neither backing down nor taking an unnecessary Anthony Peeler-esque swing at a man who's quite happy to (and quite good at) digging his own grave.

Not so well done to you, Glen Davis. But it's sweet that you care.

Kevin Garnett Has Always Played With This SAME Intensisty. But Now That Everyone Hates The People Who Win The Championship( ala The Lakers Of A Few Years Ago, ala The Patriots, ala The Yankees Of Old) They Pick Out EVERY Little Thing They Do. Way To Jump On The Bandwagon Shammy.

It should be pretty well established by now that I dislike people as and when I want to, be it coincidant with or in direct contrast to the view of the masses. See also - my views on LeBron James. The twat.

Not a lot to say about that, really. It wasn't much, and if he thought he'd been hit in the face first, then it's how I'd react too.

The problem I'm increasingly having with Garnett is that he's becoming one hell of a show off, and the main issues I have with players are with those who are constantly trying to put on a show or steal everyone's attention, with stupid little actions. Be it through this taunting, his constant overstating of a "team" concept (WE GET THE BLOODY POINT, STOP TRYING TO MAKE US LIKE YOU), or that stupid "anything is possible" quote, Garnett is trying to get spoken about. I believe him to be genuine in all of those actions, in that they weren't scripted, concocted or contrived, and that he truly believes them. But they're also the actions of an attention seeker. And I hate attention seekers. This is why I hate LeBron James, Michael Jordan, myself, and why I'm quickly going off Garnett. (Dwyane Wade gets a reprieve because he has comic timing, which counts for a lot in my eyes. Jordan's comic timing doesn't earn him a reprieve, though, because the hole he dug is too big.)

They don't call him 'Big Baby' for nothing.

Garnett's a great player, but all that "Anything is possibllleeeeeeeeeeee, anything is possiblleeeeeeeee crap that was so dramatically forced and overblown was a bit much...

And he's always been a bit of a nutcase with the taunting.

Still, I'd take him anyday over Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden, Joakim Noah and Tyrus Thomas...

Hitting Bogut was stupid 'cause Bogut's only offense was going for a rebound, but I guess it's understandable to lose it for a second(what made it worse was the poor ref decision to make it a double technical, which was Bogut's second and thus he got ejected for his face getting in the way of Garnett's hand). Years ago there was a report that Garnett punched out Rick Rickert in a pickup game with other teammates because Rickert dared play reasonably well against KG. KG's always been prone to moments of superdickery, but it seems he's accumulated more in the last thirteen weeks than he did in the previous thirteen years.
