30th July 2009: Police following up on report of a car accident - of a car knocking down a traffic sign - found a small amount of marijuana in Redding's car, along with drug paraphrenalia. Whether or not it was Redding's vehicle that caused the accident, and whether he was the one driving, is disputed. Charged on two misdemeanour counts, one for the weed and one for the paraphrenalia. The paraphrenalia charge was later dropped; for the possession charge, Redding was sentenced to an Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, one years probation and 16 hours of community service.
