| 1993: Arrested
for assault with a deadly weapon after his girlfriend called police and
said that Polynice had pointed a gun at her. Officers didn't find a gun
on him, and while I don't know what became of it, that ever so slightly
important detail means that it was probably nothing. |
||
| 1996: It
happened again. I again don't know what became of it. |
||
| 2000: Has
the reasonably unique distinction of being able to say that he was arrested
for impersonating a police officer twice in one year. In October 2000, Polynice
was cut up by a motorist, whom Polynice then followed up. Once home, Polynice
confronted the driver who he felt had wronged him, showing him a fake police
badge, and then arguing with him. As Polynice left, the other driver took
down his numberplate, had it investigated, which led to Polynice's first
impersonating a police offer arrest, as well as a disorderly conduct charge.
Two months later, Polynice pulled the same stunt, and got another impersonation charge. He pled guilty to all three charges, and was sentenced to a $500 fine and 30 hours community service for one of the two impersonation charges, and to 100 hours of community service a $500 fine plus 18 months probation for the other. |
||
| 2001: After
being hit by a loose shot on a golf course, Polynice confronted, punched,
spat at and pushed the golfing partner of the guy whose shot hit Polynice,
who made the mistake of trying to apologise. When in court for this offense,
Polynice added another charge to his sheet, as he wound up chasing the prosecutor
down the hallway, screaming at her, adding a disturbing the peace charge
to the assault charge from the golf incident. Given 6 months probation and
fined $450 for the disturbing the peace charge, and fined $1,850 and given
240 hours community service for the assault charge. However, that wasn't it. Since this charge came while Polynice was still under probation from the impersonating a police officer offenses, his probation was therefore violated. He was therefore additionally sentenced to serve two days in jail, had the clock on his probation restarted, and was ordered to attend anger management and "cognitive restructure therapy" sessions. |
