18th September 2008: Fined $50,000 for his involvement in the incident with Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers during the Rookie Transition Program. Chalmers and Arthur were kicked out of the program after they refused to leave their hotel room during a fire alarm. When hotel security entered anyway, the room was found to be full of the smell of marijuana, as well as two women. Beasley initially denied his involvement in the incident and refused to cooperate with the league investigation; the level of his involvement was never really explained, although he was definitely in the room with them at some point.
