February 2007: Arrested and charged with battery and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors, after a bar fight. Both he and Marquis Daniels - also charged - wound up accepting something called a "diversion agreement", meaning that they didn't have to go to trial. They were sentenced to 32 hours community service each and something called "behavior modification training", which sounds like something a dog does.
 
October 2007: Shot at in a drive-by shooting. This wasn't Tinsley doing anything wrong, per se, but if your team was about to trade for Jamaal Tinsley, and came here to check his background....you'd want to know information like that.

Indeed, let's flesh this out a bit - in Tinsley's youth (i.e. pre-2000), he was shot at, dropped out of schools, spent his whole life "out" and "partying", was arrested for pickpocketing before being acquitted, and generally doing nothing but playing streetball and being a waster. In his NBA career, he's not "done" anything other than the incident above, but he's always there when trouble is around. He was "there" for the above incident, he got shot at, he just so happened to be there when then-teammate Stephen Jacksonw as arrested for shooting his gun off, marijuana just "happened" to be found in Tinsley's car (no charges were brought due to police not knowing whose it was).........

......I dunno. He just seems to always be around trouble, even when he isn't it. Maybe he should stop "having fun".
