November 2010: Arrested and charged with domestic abuse after an altercation with his girlfriend, who was also arrested and charged with the same crime. The girlfriend - who was very drunk at the time and who has the Scrabble friendly name of Goolnaz "Asal" Karbalaeinematmoeeney - claimed that Haddadi turned violent after seeing her talking to another man, and choked her and pushed her against a wall. (A witness claimed that they saw Haddadi choking Karbalaeinematmoeeney.) Meanwhile, Haddadi counter-claimed that a bit of sex-play between the two had gotten out of hand, which led to her throwing a soap dispenser at him, which he in turn deflected back into her face, causing her facial injuries. (Haddadi had scratches and cuts to hsi arms, but not his face.) He then further claimed she locked herself in the bathroom, so he kicked in the door for fear that she was going to commit suciide. The charge against the girlfriend was dropped a few days later.
