Charged with assault with a deadly weapon and assault with bodily injury after punching and shooting at a woman he claimed broke into his home. In a plea bargain, was sentenced to 18 months probation and fined. |

Checked into clinic for treatment for alcohol abuse. |

| July 2004:
Spent 15 days in jail after violating probation. Griffin went to pick his mate up from a nightclub, thus violating his curfew. By taking the jail sentence, his probation is not extended. |

12th January 2007: Suspended for 5 games for violating the league's anti-drug
program. |

| 17th August 2007: Died after driving into a moving train. May have been suicide or an accident. Ultimately, though, it doesn't matter. | ||
