27th January 2006: Suspended by FIBA and the NBA for two years for taking a drug that wasn't marijuana or aspirin. Andersen was found to have taken a "drug of abuse," and while he never admitted what it is, the CBA defines "drugs of abuse" as any of methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, opiates (including heroin, codeine, morphine), and PCP. Andersen could apply for reinstatement after two years, which he ultimately successfully did.
