23rd June 2008: While serving a year-long restraining order after allegedly throwing an ex-girlfriend to the ground and threatening to kill her, McKie tried to buy two guns, a violation of the order. McKie lied on the application, saying that he wasn't under any such order. Arrested and charged with two charges, one felony and one misdemeanour, the exact terminology of which I don't know. Sentenced to probation, two years in a first offenders program thing, and a $30,000 donation to a victim's families charity thing.
